    I’m gonna be a debbie downer: the quadruple salchow won’t be enough for Inori to beat Hikaru. Hikaru would have picked up new techniques by All-Japans, so all Inori did was maintain the gap (or maybe close it a little).

    Still, at this rate, the only real competition against Hikaru is Inori. I say let Hikaru take the All-Japans win, but have Inori get her revenge in their next match - possibly on a bigger stage.

      There is a commentor on the Reddit thread who gives technical explanations of what we see each episode, and it seems she has a chance because of how routines have to be composed and how difficult (and dangerous) quadruples are. So Inori might have an inori* of a chance after all.

      *Translator’s Note: inori means ‘prayer’.
