      The term “graduating” comes from Japanese pop idol culture, where a pop idol retiring is called “graduating.”

      It’s not just a Hololive thing; Vshojo was an outlier in that it’s talents could maintain their identities when they left the company, but every other Vtubet agency does the same thing.
