    I wonder if Gluttony is inside Subaru like Echidona is inside Anna. She clearly reads his mind and take over the body occasionally.

    I just wonder what the conditions for this to happen are?

      Well, he lost his memory and started manifesting this stuff after they found him unconscious in the library, so that was likely the key event. Assuming Gluttony was already in the tower, she could have done just about anything to him while he was out cold. Alternatively, this could have been set up as far back as the previous season, and when Subaru got knocked out by reading a book, it provided a chink in his psyche that allowed the setup to bear fruit, so to speak.

      The other possibility is that it had something to do with everyone’s favourite chopstick samurai.

      With this being two consecutive cours, it might be a while before we get the answer.

    Book of the Dead - lets you experience the life and death of the person. Side effects may include: schizophrenia, desire for murder. Subaru has a new mind friend, how nice! With the usual cruelty of this series in mind I bet his checkpoint is after the strangulation incident and his newfound schizo friend sticks around for the next loops. It’s really morbid but surprisingly sharp of Subaru to consider murdering his friends just to read their Books to learn their shared backstory then presumably die and loop back with the knowledge. Fucked up for sure but deceptively clever for our usually quite dense protagonist! Shame he is completely unaware that among all of his victims he was lucky enough to pick the only one from this party that can’t completely eviscerate him in seconds so his chances with the rest are rather slim! That is, if Shaula doesn’t step in to help him out, she clearly knows something and is the likely culprit behind the body’s disappearance.
