No it doesn’t. It would be strange. Regular honey is made from nectar.

Honey produced by vulture bees is a pleasant tasting and sweet smelling honey-like liquid.
It’s strange that it doesn’t taste like rotten flesh.
From the French Wikipedia page, it goes against the current, using its wings, body and tail to force it to the bottom of the river.
