whats really funny to me is people make this claim, but any good study that looks for differences finds none or that women are very slightly better at math and spatial reasoning

11·10 days agooh dang when will my thagomizer start coming in? im really looking forward to swinging it around instead of my huge gock.
but why would you assume he’s one brother or the other? he’s both brothers simultaneously, and neither, like Tuvix.
they may be technically different, but me going through tree ID class in undergrad quickly realized that the variability of leaf shape within a tree species, and even within a specific tree, can make one species look almost exactly like a totally different species. much better to look at the morphology, buds, and bark than the leaves.
they’re all beautiful though
as a bi trans nonmonogamous audhder, fuck these people. all they really want is to kill us, and when they realize they can’t do it by turning us into someone else they will reach for the camps and gas chambers. then they will destroy themselves because the great tragedy is that so many of them are neurodivergent too. rigid black and white thinking is one of the major pitfalls of humanity, and sadly is one far too many neurodivergent people fall into.
technically psychedelic mushrooms aren’t a dissociative hallucinogen, but you got the spirit
Meanwhile I try to get to know someone on an app who messaged me first and all I get are two word replies… Dating apps are trash.
Yeah I was gonna say, one of the defining features of the large sauropods was a low body density due to the air sacks in their huge necks and hollow bones. Those adaptations were likely required to achieve their size. So you have a really big animal with relatively low density and high surface area, that thing is going right up into the sky and getting smashed to bits when it lands.

Science Memes@mander.xyz•Replication crisis, my arseEnglish
4·3 months agoThere’s no way our bodies are “supposed” to be. There’s the way they are and the way they were. Also some brave and dedicated individuals can apparently overcome lactose intolerance through exposure therapy. Basically they eat a bunch of dairy every day for weeks until their gut biome readjusts to digest lactose without all the discomfort. Apparently the gas and bloating are caused by the overgrowth of some bacteria and it just takes some time to find a new equilibrium so you don’t get big blooms every time you eat lactose.
i mean besides being present with their favorite humans. they dont know what we’re doing but they’re here for it. my cats literally follow me into every room, all hours of the day, unless they are actively eating, expelling waste, or chasing each other around in a zoomy fit. they know they’re not getting anything but my presence and thats all they want because they love me.
