Both main standards have the same vertical resolution. Cropped versions hardly count as “standard”

3·1 month agoYeah but no one is forcing you to use thunderbolt for displays, I still don’t get your point that forcing adoption of USB-C for charging locks you into the mess that is the rest of the USB standards

3·1 month agoThe main motivation behind that is charging, not data transfer. USB-PD has been stable and backwards compatible
If you are planning on running Arch “without touching the terminal”, you’re going to have a bad time
