yeah, tho it worries me that people are keeping these things as pets, because the pet market is terrible about running species wild populations into the ground

thank you, hope your community appreciates all that work!
It is pretty fun, but to be honest not worth the money if you have to pay for the training yourself, especially if you don’t live near a good diving spot.
yeah, this is very true. I’d love diving tropical stuff every day but don’t want to live where it’s warm lol; where I live there are some crazy folks who drysuit dive all the time, but even then it’s waaaay too cold for me. I want the water warm but the rest nice and cool lol

69·13 days agothis interview is hilarious. the aura is starting to wane and it appears Jensen thinks he can simply ramble his way through explaining why we should all still just be incredibly grateful for the state of the shitshow they’ve architected…

2·1 month agoNot only their own waste, but other radionucleotides - it’s very impressive. I’d love to see a crash program to develop a modular thorium reactor that could eat this stuff.

2·1 month agothe raw material was mined. Just put the waste back in the same hole.
yeah it seems really simple, but then, you have the realities:
lots of uranium mining is open pits. like this one in namibia -
-that’s not going to keep stuff in one place.
transporting it, hell even getting the producers to agree to accepting it for storage - would be a political nightmare.
even in places where it was mined underground, you have water tables to worry about. it’s simply not that simple.

10·1 month agoI disagree, only thinking we should cover EVERYTHING - any human building / structure etc should have solar all over. yeah, it’s not cheap to build them, but we should stop playing fuckaround and get it done, it’ll be cheaper to do it today than tomorrow.
But re: fields - they can do double duty via agrivoltaics - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agrivoltaics

161·1 month agono radioactive waste to deal with either.
and with solar, most of the hardware can be recycled now into new units; with a 20 year lifespan, that’s going to pull thousands of kilowatts out of the sky, that’ll do just fine.
so good. like, gas station greasy ramen in red hot water broth, but so good
then so bad, so very bad
100% diarrhea means they eliminated nothing.
I take exception to this phrasing, whenever i have 100% diarrhea I eliminate the the contents of my guts and a half roll of toilet paper at least.

the most insulting aspect has got to be the idea that plainly bonkers people are the ones making these aspersions. RFK and Trump are nutbags.
