Frieren has such such an ambient vibe, and the Japanese voice acting is a big part of the aesthetic IMO. I have not watched the entire dub, and from what I have seen so far it’s pretty good, but the original audio is a masterpiece.

It has rewatch potential though, so if you gotta watch the dub it in bed with headphones then it’s still fantastic, but at some point I’d definitely say it’s worth watching it in the original Japanese. Fuck anti dub elitism in general though.

Here’s the thing…

Some of us brought this up and were shouted down. I do like that the regulation eliminated proprietary connectors, but the inability to grow physical and signalling standards together was always going to be a problem.

Some people don’t want to hear it, but this was kind of a predictable side effect of the USB-C connector requirements. Like, it’s obviously good in the fight against proprietary connectors, but it kind of sucks in terms of generational differentiation within the same standards family.

There’s a reason why “virtue signalling” was a term originally coined to describe faith behaviors.
