I can’t imagine wanting to float untethered in space. I love space, astronomy is fascinating. Do I want to go there? Nope. I like being on land.

The idea of floating in the airless void with no connections to the one metal tube out there that can bring me back home is utterly terrifying. Props to Bruce (and other astronauts) for going with it, but whew boy, does the thought scare the crap out of me.

In a weird way, not that I wouldn’t be afraid, but dying in a unique and interesting way actually sounds like the ending I’d want, if I had to pick one. Hear disease, cancer, car accident? Sounds awful. I’d love to be “the guy who got lost in space and died”

Downside being that astronauts are typically in the prime of their lives. If I was to go explosively, I’d want to be a few decades older than that.
